First edition, printed in Czechlosavakia, a surprisingly beautiful production, and a charming seires of stories about a humanized poor mouse family (with plenty of other animals similarly humanized rounding out the cast) the father of which teaches each of his eight sons to play a magic flute and sends them out to share their music: "Spread happiness with your playing everywhere, and some will also come your way, and bread to eat as well."
