[NY?] Cpmtemporary Classics, [1949?]. Two heavy red vinyl records (LP), Original cloth gilt lettered sleeves, with an extra set of labels for folio II (and there appear to be duplicate labels under the ones of FolioI). The rarest of items in our literary record holdings, indeed in all our vinyl holdings in all likelihood. We locate an example of Folio I at Ransom and NYPL, for Folio II only the Ransom center lists a copy [via worldcat.]

These were published by Louis and Bebe Barron- known for creating the first entirely electronic soundtrack for the movie Forbidden Planet. Uncharacteristically for spoken word recordings of this nature- Henry Miller often interjects spontaneous comments, including asking for another drink!

I'd guess the only thing I might covet more than this set would be the apparently similarly formatted recordings the Barron's produced of Anais Nin, or the James Joyce Ulysses recording produced by Sylvia Beach. Black Tulips.
